Survey Dates: 20170605, 20170607, 20170612, 20170614, 20170620, 20170626 Instruments: Riegl VZ-2000 scanner/Trimble R10 GNSS system Horizontal Datum: NAD83(2011) Coordinate System: North Carolina State Plane, meters (3200) Vertical Datum: NAVD88, meters Geoid Model: GEOID12B Processing Methodology: -Reflectors setup throughout area-of-interest (AOI) and centroids surveyed with RTK-GPS for at least 180 epochs -Multiple scan positions occupied throughout AOI to maximize scan coverage and mitigate shadowing from buildings/obstructions -Each scan position coarsely registered with reflector centroids -All scan positions coregistered using plane-matching algorithm -All data is combined to create a single .las file and octree filtered to remove redunant points -Each single .las file represents each day's complete survey effort -A baseline survey was performed on 20170626 with more reflectors present in the AOI in the hopes that a tighter solution can be obtained -All separate .las files are coregistered to the baselne utilizing the aforementioned plane-matching algorithm -All data is unclassified and includes all returns **The survey conducted on 20170605 (little to no wind) includes two scan positions from the top of our 40 meter video tower and spans the entire 180 acres!!
